Assignment 1: My Show

If I had create a show for CC it would be along the "that's just wrong" line of thinking. There's no better laugh than the nervous laugh of someone who knows that finding comedic value in a situation is sending you straight to hell. First there would be a main character that is in someway handicapped. Being blind is good, there's alot of funny stuff that can happen there. I'd give the character a good generic name, Henry works. The premise would be situational with no real underlying plot. More like a Seinfeld than normal sitcoms. I think something like this would best be presented as animated; cartoons seem to soften the blow of morally corrupting the viewer with un-PC and anti-social sentiments while allowing you to just enjoy the fact that Sponge Bob is humping Porky Pig (ahem...Draw Together) A show like this would lack any redeeming social value and serve simply to to push the limits of censors, sponsors and the Christian right. While it's easy to say such a show would be disengaged from normality, the funniest bits are always based a bit on the trivial normalities of life but taking them to absurd extremes.
